black edition stylophone a fake? 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I have been seeing a black edition collector's stylophone online and am wondering if it's legit from Dubreq or another bootleg. Price seems okay that I wouldn't lose any sleep over spending but I don't really want my credit card info in someone's dubious hard drive....

As I understand it (Ben may wish to correct me) the all-black "Studio" model was a special edition for the East Asian market, so I imagine they are pretty rare elsewhere, but it certainly does exist.

yep, the all black version was an exclusive for the Japanese market... there were only a couple of thousand made IIRC. The legendary 'stealth Stylophone# is indeed somewhat hard to come by in the UK.
