Replace built in samples? 5 Months ago Karma: 0
Hey guys,

I dig the built in samples, but it'd be great to have a Stylophone which is unique to me, so I'd love to be able to replace the samples with my own. Is that possible?

If not possible with a hack or something, can I pay the developer to put my samples in instead?

Ah, cool - figured that might be the case. Yeah, a version with an SD card slot or something would be fantastic

Hey Watto

Unfortunately, due to the way the S1 is made, the samples are embedded in the firmware of the IC and, as such, aren't easily altered or replaced.

For the same reason (tens of thousands of pounds to re-mask a new IC) it wouldn't be possible to have a 'custom' S1 made with your own samples.

All that said, this is certainly going up near the top of the list on the 'What features would be good on a new Stylophone' topic.
